Recently I’ve been trying to make an effort to really take care of my skin. I’ve always loved makeup. Makeup comes so easily because there’s always new colors, plus it just speaks to the artsy side of me. But I’ve never really taken care of my skin besides keeping it moisturized. I’m originally from Tokyo which exposed my skin to grimy, city air. But I’ve also spent most of my life on a tropical island, leaving my skin vulnerable to harmful UV rays. So now I’m making a conscientious try to really pay more attention to loving my skin.
I’ve started using moisturizers that have UV protection in them so (hopefully) I have less wrinkles down the line. I also read the ingredients of all the things I put on my face. One of the things I’ve been looking at lately is cleansing brushes. That’s when I found the Soniclear Petite!
The Soniclear Petite by Michael Todd is a sonic powered brush with three speeds. It’s rechargeable and waterproof. Plus it has the world’s first built-in protection against microbial contamination, so your brush can stay cleaner and fresher for a longer period of time. It’s a wonderful device! I’ve been using it for about a month and it’s so well-rounded. I’ve only recharged it a couple of times. So it holds a charge for a pretty long time. It’s smaller, making it fit wonderfully in my bathroom bag for when I travel. Plus, it’s not crazy loud and it’s not too abrasive on my skin. My skin is noticeably brighter and I have experienced fewer breakouts since I’ve started using it.
My Soniclear Petite came with a sample size of the Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub. It’s my favorite scrub to pair with this device. It’s made with a base of 100% organic aloe vera leaf juice, jojoba beads, activated charcoal, spinach extract, and tea tree. I really enjoy the fact that it doesn’t contain mineral oil, phthalates, tricolsan, synthetic fragrances, artificial dyes, sulgates, parabens, water or cheap fillers. I love to use this facial scrub whenever I wear a full face of makeup and want to really refresh my skin. My skin is combination/oily but I’m sure it will be great for all skin types. When I finish this trial sized tube of this scrub, I will definitely buy more.
These two products are ridiculously easy to use. I rinse my face with warm water. Then smooth a small amount of the Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub onto my skin. Next, I like to give my Soniclear Petite a quick rinse. I have the timer set on mine so I know when to move onto the next portion of my face. When I’ve scrubbed my entire face, I turn it off, and rinse it with water. Lastly, I rinse my face with cold water. This entire process generally takes me less than 4 minutes to complete (as long as I don’t have to wrangle my toddler during it).
I love these Michael Todd products and look forward to trying out more of them in the future. I admire the fact that they try to use the most natural ingredients effectively. If you’re looking for a great cleansing brush and facial scrub, I highly recommend Michael Todd products!
